AN INDUSTRY-WIDE COMMITMENT

Events industry associations (ANAé, CSPE, FFMEE, France Congrès, FSCF, Synpase, Traiteurs de France) that have signed up to the Events Industry Professional Associations' Charter on Sustainable Development are actively engaged in protecting the environment. The first step in this engagement is the creation of an eco-guide, a road map for an environmentally-responsible event, produced by industry associations and covering the issues specific to every segment of the industry. The guide offers sector professionals concrete solutions with the emphasis on environmental protection, a compendium of best practices presented in the form of a series of fact sheets and broken down into 10 themes (click on a title to be redirected to the corresponding fact sheet):

1. Organisation and conception of events and meetings
2. Site and venue management
3. Transport, accommodation and reception services
4. Catering
5. Tableware and furniture hire
6. Stand construction and decoration
7. Lighting and sound systems
8. Audiovisual, projection and IT facilities
9. Printing: invitations, proceedings, signage
10. Promotional objects and gifts
