Survey of the economic benefits
The methodology of this survey, acknowledged by the Ministry of Tourism, has been in use since 1999. Towns have a reliable way of measuring the economic and social spin-offs of their convention centre in the local economy. The survey includes a representative sample of 40 convention centres outside Paris. Every year, France Congrès can give nationwide indicators for the economic activities of convention centres.
The market indicator
Following an initiative by France Congrès, the indicator has been drawn up quarterly, jointly with the Observation department of ODIT France, since 2003. The market indicator gives indications as to the most vibrant sectors, the changes in advance booking patterns, the changes in orders per type of conference. It enables convention centres to assess their position in their category, and determine how best to improve it.

Publication of the first market indicators report.
France Congrès publish in cooperation with ODIT France a first market indicator report. This summary document shows the quarterly market situation and its evolution from N-1, developed from selected items such as commercial inquiries or conference average stock on portfolio.
Results are based on 20 conference centers answers, except Paris. |
